Jerome H. Abrams,M.D.
Dr. Abrams, a general surgeon and critical care specialist, was a member of the University of Minnesota School of Medicine and Biomedical Engineering faculties.
He served as medical director of the surgical intensive care units at the University of Minnesota Hospital and the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. He is certified in surgery
and surgical critical care by the American Board of Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Research experience includes supersonic molecular
beam scattering, scanning electron stimulated desorption microscopy of model
biologic surfaces, and mathematical modeling of nonlinear dynamical systems.
He has authored over 30 articles and numerous book chapters. He is a co-inventor
on thirteen patents and was the chief editor of two editions of Surgical Critical Care.
Dr. Abrams received the Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University and the Doctor of Medicine from Tufts University School of Medicine.
